Got a lemon

Have always used aquilas on my ukuleles and decided to try these copper covered strings. It seems I got a lemon because 1st string broke 3 times and I'm completely sure I strung it correctly.
Overall strings sound ok but they feel like stainless steel strings on a guitar and I hate that feeling.

Great looking and sounding strings!

These strings really are fabulous. By far the best ukelele strings I've tried so far. The red colour looked great on gretsch uke and they even seem to have more volume than regular nylon strings. They break in a bit quicker than the aquila nylgut's. The feel of them is different too, I would describe it as similar to coated guitar strings and I really like the tactile quality they have. There is a bit more string noise but it doesn't really bother me. I'm not sure how long they'll keep their sound but I'll update my review if there is any problems. They also do a low g set which I'm gonna try on my soprano uke when I get the chance.

Since I bought my first UKE, friends told me I should try the Red Series Strings but took me a good few year to actually use it. It's brilliant. I've had some new strings snapped after a few days though but it worth every penny.

not too different form original set

I generally love aquilla product specially the red ukulele series.
I also have the ubass red strings , and this would be my second set of red strings for my tenor ukulele as i tried many but i love the feel and sound of the aquilla red series.
no cons , its just beautiful look and sound.

Amazing strings

Easy to play, lovely sound but can be squeeky

I love these strings, they are so easy to play. Perhaps it is just my own way of playing but one of the strings, the A one kept making a squeeky sound. I later changed it for a Nylon string but kept the other 3 & problem was solved. Other friends have these strings & not the same problem & they are amazed with them
