So this comes with two power outs for 2 ribbon buses with 14 power parking spaces for your modules. I've had no issues with power. From the operational perspective, I don't think about it at all, it just runs the rack.
I've had good success using a Bosch GAA18V-24 to supply power to the CP1A - so that's been a useful solution for small & portable power (total run time of the kit will vary when running off a battery).
It does not have a lot of features (does it need any?) it's pretty basic. It came packaged really well. As far as I can tell, it does exactly what Behringer claims it's supposed to do.
I've been using this for my small eurorack system for quite some time already and I have zero negative comments about this. Everything works well, no power issues observed with the modules and the build quality is good. It is amazing that you can get the complete power solution (incl. flying bus cables and power adapter) for such a low price.
One thing I've also noticed with this, that the module will not heat up when used, or at least this will not happen with my rack, that draws max 500mA current. I've also used Tiptop uZeus and that thing heats up a lot!
I've had three of these since they first became available and I just got the fourth one.
Does what it says on the tin and does it very well.
They power two rows of 84hp each with still plenty of power to spare. Zero issues.
I wanted a 0hp power source, but the behringer is so cheap i’d rather diy it to the back of the box. If you just add up the power brick and the bus boards it’s still cheaper than anything tip-top, and you basically get a power source for free.
I don't trust Behringer due to really bad experiences in the past, so I don't trust that thing but it was what I could afford at the time and it hasn't failed me yet.
Fits in both Behringer Go Case and Behringer 104. With only 1A at 12V, 1A at -12V and 500mA at 5V, it's enough for Behringer modules. Your needs may vary. Great price.
I am using this as a dedicated PSU for my Expert Sleepers ES-9 which uses around 500mA reducing the load on my Doepfer PSU3 in my modular case. Very easy to fit, nice toggle switch nothing to complain about.
