Hi,
I really, really wanted a Blues Driver for a long time. There's waza, there's the basic version, there's the one with the Keeley mod, there are other similar alternatives and such, I considered them all, but in the end I went with the Waza. This has already been said by guitarists with a much higher reputation than me, but if you still needed confirmation from a serial Mr. Smith, then yes, I confirm the notoriety of this effect. I have a Blackstar HT Club MK II 6l6 tube amplifier with a Mojotone BV30V speaker, and I must say that the overdrive built into the amp, does not have the approach of the Blues Driver. It sounds very vintage, if I may say so, it has claw, it has clarity, a very wide spectrum of sound, it can be like a stream of cream, and it can also be like sandpaper on your teeth. Whether this version or the standard, it's really worth investing in this effect. Even more so through Thomann, which gives you a 30-day return policy, so you can always return it if it doesn't suit you. Oh, and the waza mod is not a useless flavor. Really, in some sound arrangements, I find it better to play it than the basic one. It simply gives you a better opportunity to arrange and adjust your sound with other variables. The quality is phenomenal and I think it's worth paying extra for the waza version.
