I played on a lot of stuff, last amp i used for a long was Marshall DSL-1 (1W tube amp).
Purchase reason - just something new, modern sound with a lot of effects. I had a Micro Cube long time ago, decided to switch back, but for a new version with modern sound, and USB-recording feature as a huge bonus.
Pros:
+ Design
+ Build quality
+ Sound quality
+ USB-recording (haven't try yet, hope no delay)
+ Interface abilities to connect separate speakers, pedals, etc.
Cons:
- Extra elements for purchasing (Bluetooth: guys in 2022/23 we need some extra module for not a small money? Extra pedal for using looper.)
- No USB-cable included
Final:
Tested with Gibson SG Junior P90 and Fender AmPro2 Stratocaster.
Combo needs some burn-in time, give speakers 1-2 weeks of work. Boxy and digital sound slowly transforms to a more natural and opened. Don't expect tube amp experience. Prepare for the same sound as you can hear from top guitar YouTube monsters, the same as from super popular expensive plug-ins. Choose amp, play with delay/reverb knob, maybe add chorus/flanger and get the same sound. On a blind test i'm 100% sure no one will guess where is an expensive plugin and where is a Boss Dual Cube, SQ is super similar. For me personally i found usage only of 2 amps (JC and Extreme) and different settings of effects. Dual Cube sounds awesome! It's a great modern sounding home amp, you can play on a very low volume and you can turn it to a quite high. So highly recommended!
Thomann service - nice, thanks!
