I'm a left handed guitarist and find it very difficult to get a good quality guitar that is specifically designed for a left handed player for a reasonable price. Until now I have been changing strings around/ modifying right handed guitars which isn't ideal as you tend to loose a bit of the sound quality. That is why I bought this guitar.
Pros:
It is a beautifully made instrument and a joy to play. The quality of materials and the workmanship are very high especially for guitars in this price range. I really like the built in tuner and the inclusion of an adjustable truss rod is also a nice extra. The contrast between the rosewood back and sides and the spruce top is also very beautiful to look at. The action is very good and the sound projection is fantastic.
The pick up system seem good on first play and Fishman are one of the best in the business in this regard but I haven't tested this in a gig situation as yet.
The people at Thomann are a pleasure to deal with and the guitar arrived on time and in perfect condition.
The gig bag is of good quality.
Cons:
As a primarily classical guitar player I found the sound of the flamenco guitar a bit on the "thin" side and personally I would prefer a deeper/ bass sounding guitar.
I was hoping to get a good quality classical guitar this was a bit disappointing.
Be warned that this is a flamenco guitar not a classical guitar. The difference in depth of the body really does make a difference to the sound and even though the Flamenca Negra is supposed to sound warmer you don't get the feel for that with this guitar.(That is why it looses a star for me on the sound rating)
However if you are thinking of dabbling in flamenco or looking for a flamenco guitar you won't find better than this in this price range.
One other con is the width of the fretboard is 50mm but the string spacing appears to be the same as a standard 52mm fretboard and as a result my finger slips off on neck on the first string occasionally which will take a bit of practice and playing to get used to.
