We purchased this Dante AVIO to eliminate the last two analogue audio runs in a community radio station which in 2015 mostly transitioned to a fully digital Dante AoIP audio distribution system, but left analogue runs to a single location that contained a Blackmagic ATEM for visualisation and a Tanberg Satellite decoder. This was an ugly, messy workaround that left unpleasant harmonics in our feeds. This AVIO has let us replace these analogue runs with a Dante/AES3 bridge - absolutely perfect for our use case and improving the sound quality considerably over long analogue runs.
The only thing I can say on the negative side is that the build quality of the AVIO is not great - it is quite plasticy and cheap, which is problematic because Audinate show this product used in a live environment in a lot of publicity material. Whilst it is fine in a server rack, I would not trust it to last long on a tough tour. If Radial were ever to make an AES3 DI-NET then that would be perfect for this usage case, but until then, this is the best (if plastic) option.
