After 5 minutes of fiddling with it I`ve noticed that this piece of equipment doesn`t do what it supposed to. It does not cut proper frequencies, only incorporates more hiss and background noise close to the frequency indicated on sliders. Even the center frequencies don`t match - for example 3.5k is in fact 3.1k, 12.5k is 10-ish k and so on. Plug it to frequency analyser and see for yourself.
Although the build quality is good and looks like a reliable unit it lacks sound quality. Of course, it`s cheap, I understand that it might sound cheap. BUT units like 286s or 166xs are not expensive either and they sound good and do what they should.
Come on DBX/Harman...next time do not place the phrase "Exceptional sound" on the box, it`s not true.
