Every guitar that comes into Whitstable Guitars is restrung & set up before going on sale. I have found these Fender strings to be well priced & not prone to breakages. I also regularly gig with my band and play both acoustic & electric. Once again, these strings work well & last and at around £3 a set, they are fantastic value.
The only problem I have encountered has been string changing at a gig. 3 x strings all wrapped together can make it difficult but not impossible
Many thanks Thomann for the excellent service you provide. My items always arrive quickly, are well packed & on the rare occasion there has been a problem, it?s been quickly resolved
I would normally have used Ernie Ball nickle plated steel 10's in the past especially live but I'm now playing a lot less and find these solid nickle last better with infrequent use than plated...
I like the semi-rolled wound strings too and am enjoying the slightly less zingy more old school tone that I hear with pure nickle...takes a bit more to get a decent pick scrape though! I'm also happy to find they are as solid as the EB's and have had few breaks from these...
Very good, much better than I remember Fender strings from 20/30 years ago which always seemed more brittle than most other brands...
depends on what style you play, i play in the church for praise and worship songs... and even tried it on recordings...for me very nice strings on my opinion
I used these on a Vintage 70's Les Paul to get a warm sound and oh boy, I was not disappointed.
They feel and sound great, even after a lot of use. After a few weeks, the tension gets lower, a bit quicker than with the other Fender strings like the 250, which is not a problem at all if you change them frequently or if you don't care.
I've had these strings on my guitar for a few months where I've played almost every day, both at home and on stage/practice room. I always leave my guitar out of the case and I don't pay particular attention to taking care of the strings, but, despite all that, they are still working great (as good as the first weeks) and I am now buying them again. Very good sound and durability for an exceptional price.
I would definitely recommend them!!
I really like the sound of pure nickel strings. I find that they are not as bright as nickel-plated and this is something I like in my sound. They come in a plastic sealed bag so they keep fresh till you open them. As long as duration goes, they're not Elixirs but they're quite adequate. I treat them with a string cleaner and they're quite good. Definitely check them out if you want a fuller tone with a little less brightness than nickel plated strings.
I finally found the correct strings for my Squier Stratocaster. Pretty obvious to stick with Fender, I tried some other strengths and models, but this is exactly the right one for a telecaster which gets used a lot for rock/numetal crossover.
I use these strings exclusively for my 60ies custom shop Stratocaster. It reacts very sensitive with the choosen strings. With this string package the strat brings its best tones to ones ears. No Harsh high ends and a well balanced bass response.
I prefer to play pure nickels strings, preferably roundwound (like Pyramid Classics Pure Nickels), however I also like these Fenders, especially since they are packed in this air-free plastic bag that keeps them fresh. And they are usually less expensive than the Pyramids.
