Fender Vintage Bass Bridge

I got this bridge because I needed to upgrade the poor 2-saddle bridge on a Bronco I was modding. I had problems finding something with the correct string spacing for the Bronco so I decided to get one of these vintage style Fender bridges with threaded saddles where the strings can slide over a notch or two and fit the Bronco spacing.

It's not exactly the best bridge out there and it's a bit overpriced but it's a tried and tested design that works fine for my needs and it's very easy to adjust.

Whenever I get a new 4-String bass, I always swap the bridge from the stock one to this. Why? Apart from that cool chrome & nickel vintage look, the bridge is solid. Not just the construction, but the saddles are always steady unlikely the stock bridge with the saddles that go crooked with time. I'm not too sure if it's because the saddles are coated(?) with nickel, but I think this saddles gives better tone & sustain compare to the stock one.

Sure, it's bit pricey or pricier than before, but this is one good investment for your beloved instrument.

Renovating my P bass was a love's labour, and replacing parts with quality was one of my maxims. So all parts used were genuine Fender, and all were sourced from Thomann. What a brilliant company, and what excellent service. You've reached the bridge of buys - go get something.

This Bassbridge replaced my Badass at my Jazz Bass.

The Bass has come alive now, it has a little less sustain than the BA but lots of mid-freq growl is audible now, that has been swallowed by the high mass bridge before.

BuildQuality is perfect , seems to last forever!

This bridge came on really nice on my Roger Waters signature bass. Was looking for a bridge that i would hardly ever have to fix, although this one came really close. Not going to change the bridge for a long time now.

I bought this for a Fender '62 reissue P Bass project and this bridge is spot on. It's vintage accurate and solid. I'm using flatwound strings and I get great action and intonation with this bridge.

Generations of bassists have used this bridge. This was the standard bridge on Fender Jazz and p basses during the 60s and the 70s; Jaco had this bridge on his '62 Jazz bass (the bass of doom).
What I like is that this bridge makes the strings extremely resonant, allowing every one to set the string spacing exactly to its liking.
And it ages very nicely, forming a rough and very visible patina. When the price dropped from 80€ to 49€, I bought 4 of them. Every bass that comes under my hands receive this bridge as a gift.

Does what it should but apart from the vintage-correct saddles, I see no great advantage choosing this over a cheaper equivalent- it doesn't even say Fender anywhere on it, not even a sticker. The Fender name adds to the cost of this product but to me, it doesn't add quality.

Best choice for a vintage look and feel.
