I got the Furman P-1400 AR E to stabilise the line voltage for our backline. We've done some gigs where both the guitar amps drastically lost power due to the line voltage sagging; and sometimes in our rehearsal space they can sound lifeless too, especially on a colder day when we have a big electrical load on (heaters, etc).
Tube amps appear to be especially susceptible to line voltage variations.
So far it has worked fine; everything sounds a bit more consistent from one day to the next.. Also It's reassuring to have the surge+spike protection and filtering for the backline too.
The only criticism I have is that the unit is fairly expensive for what it is: a big toroidal autotransformer with 8 voltage taps on it which are electronically selected, some filtering/surge supression stuff, and a bunch of output sockets).
If line filtering/conditioning is all you needed, and you don't want voltage regulation, then there are cheaper products around that will achieve that. But there doesn't seem to be anything else that will offer all of the features of this unit.
