No Screws For This or ANY Gold Fender-Style Neck Plate at Thomann??
wbrandtf16 19.02.2019
Purchased this for a PartsCaster build so wasn't worried about buying a "Fender" specific item. I was pleased with the weight and quality of the neck plate; it has good a solid feel to it and the plating appears well done. HOWEVER...and it is a big "however"...this does NOT come with the gold neck plate screws, and as best I can tell, I cannot find them anywhere on the Thomann web site! I figured when I purchased it there were no screws (based on price and no mention of them), but was surprised I could not find them as a separate item. Had to go out and purchase them elsewhere.... Thomann doesn't sell the Fender 1447 Neck Plate and screws or I would have bought them, and none of the gold neck plates they DO sell come with screws. Just beware before you buy if you need the gold mounting screws.
Holes line up nice, but the bridge itself is a little smaller in size than the original.
Also the gold color will fade away after a while.
Fits, but no plastic bracket included. But that's underneath the old bridge, so you can use that.
Comes without (gold) screws!
This is the only Gold finish neck plate that I can find anywhere in Europe. I really would have liked a nice big "F" stamped into it, but can't even find one like that in the US. I suspect Thomann had these specially made - thanks! This is one component of a Strat "Partscaster" that I am building.
