Ok, so I've sold my Gibson SG Special (bought on Thomann as well) and Yamaha RevStar 502T due to some issues. These last two were great, no doubt. But it magically appears, that a good guitar doesn't make Petrucci of you, only practice, so called 'ass-hours' in thousands (how much time you sit on your butt and practicing). In a period of crisis I sold my good guitars. After year it was a time for me to pick a new one. I was thinking about HB, and finally decided to make a challange - is a budget guitar could be any good?
It came and I was shocked. I have played a lot of guitars in my life, but this Harley Benton was something special. I've took it out of a box and was astonished. My colleague with MiM Fender Strat was deeply impressed as we were comparing. It's not a Squier Classic Vibe level, for sure, but it's really really good. The sound, man...It's so silky, glassy, best Strat I've played, so much into my ear! Rosewell pickups are pure magic.
I took one star only for not perfect plastic cover from behind, but hey, - you are buying guitar to play, not to blow dust from it.
I will keep this guitar as it is, no tuning, no nothing as an example for all guitar snob how good an instrument can be without paying a lot. Bravoe, Thomann! Now I am scraping funds to buy DP-32 Thomann piano!
