Ever wanted a 2x12 that sounds like a 4x12? This is it.

I should start with saying that I'm after a very specific set of characteristics and benefits that guitar-related equipment provides me, and when it comes to cabinets, HESU checks all the boxes.

I chose this one after a lot of research, trial, error and disappointment. The build quality is excellent from the top up and from the inside out. These cabs are handcrafted by professionals who know what they're doing before anyone else does. It comes with two of HESU's own Demon speakers in it, and these turned out to be perfect for my ENGL Savage 120 Mark II head. Played either through mid-out Duncan Solar or high-out Seymour Duncan Black Winter, HESU allows me to express myself in a way I almost gave up on trying to achieve. The idea of running the cabinet with active EMGs in the future gets me extremely excited, if not a little intimidated.

Truth be told, if I could get another one of this cabinet - I would. What the 2x12 config can do on its own is outstanding already, but running two units in parallel opens me to even more options. With the possibility to space out and angle the speakers in the resulting 4x12 platform, there could be no end to the absolutely beastly tonal capabilities I've been searching for all my life.

Excellent sound and strong built

I use it with my EVH 5150III EL34 for metal music.

The quality is excellent, the handles on the side make it easy to move around. This is very strong I can hold a tube combo amp on the top without any issue. I don't hear any vibration with high gain and high volume so the sound is always good.

I saw online reviews stating that Demon speakers has less low frequencies than Celestion Vintage. However, for metal music (thrash mostly) those speakers are perfect. The sound is tight accurate. The bass are very good and the medium and high are exquisite!

I would definitely buy this product again if I needed to make the choice ! If I need a 4X12 I will definitely buy an Hesu again it worth the money !

Damaged in shipping and wired incorrectly.

Cabinet was damaged in shipping, a small dent and cut in tolex on back of the cab not visible from the front. Packaging not robust enough for international shipping. Initially the cab sounded thin with no bottom end and weak mids. Found out the cab was wired incorrectly from the factory, once wired correctly it sounds great, clear, crisp and modern sounding, with plenty of bottom end. Definitely a good sounding cabinet now.

The cab projects very well at the front, not blanketed at all, and has a nice balance of details and smoothness, so it isn't dry either, but on the stiff side. It really needs to be pushed for the wood to start singing.

I don't think it is scooped as the description suggests, rather, pretty flat overall, it doesn't sound boxy for a 2x12, not really lacking in any frequency. Maybe a little tad scooped around 1.5kHz. However it has indeed a significant bump in the 6+kHz range. If your preamp is fizzy, you'll have to push the PA quite a lot to tame your top end.

So it's not a cab for any amp, especially at moderate volume.

The build quality is very good. I give the features 3 stars however since aside from maybe lacking a stereo option, the female connectors are too lose for my pro-co power plus cables, which is quite dangerous.

It's a 4 stars cab + 1 for the price.
