These K&M speaker stands are absolutely solid. The cam clamping system locks the legs into position and provides a secure hold you can trust.
When you raise the pole, you only need to pull it upwards and the secure pin clicks into each hole as it passes. Then just tighten the nut to lock it. No more fiddling with one of those locking pins any more. To drop the pole, loosen the nut and press the quick release button. The stands come in a tough enough carry bag and are lightweight to store on top of your other gear when travelling. Finally, the rounded edged plastic mouldings give these stands a professional look that looks great in the studio or on the stage. It was worth paying that little bit more for them just for the styling.
