Excellent Castor. Honestly can't fault it. Runs smooth little or no ground noise. Have litterally over 100 of these and not one with a problem. The only negative I could say is I wish the Thomann staff putting the stock sticker on would put it onto the wheel . If it is on the wheel it comes off easy for me and if they stick it to the metal there is a lot of effort required to take off the label as I hate paper labels on the equipment. Hopefully they might heed my advisory.
These are not budget pieces of kit!! We have piled 12 litedecks weighing some 50kgs each onto 4 of these and they have rolled on as if they are made of stronger stuff!
The brakes are of good design and the latch seldom if ever gives trouble on the hundreds of these we have purchased. The blue material is excellent for rolling on cobbled streets to smooth wood floors.
The wheels are excellent value, combined with some caged nuts and you have a very quick solution to a roller board.
Don't hesitate to buy, as good as dearer options!!
I can't fault these in any way whatsoever, they are well made, the quality is excellent, the price is ultra competitive, and I fully expect them to outlast me. Tip: buy the bundle of 4, it's cheaper
Pros: Quality castors for peanuts
Cons: Nothing whatsoever
It's sturdy, spins free and easy with a firm, reliable break. These can take some abuse from rough ground whilst under strain from above without complaining.
I decided to buy a set of these to make a trolly board to help move various items of heavy gear about.
I could have gone to the local "Chinese Shop" but the price from Thomas was just as good and the wheels looked as if they were better built. I pleased to find that these wheels were much better than others I had brought locally.
The tyre in made of a soft plastic/rubber material, which will not mark floors and helps take up any bumps. I liked the feel of the bearings which make the unit rotate easily, the break is easy to use and gives a solid lock when applied.
I was impressed with the quality of the zinc coating and the metal pressing, I am sure these wheels will take the punishment and last a good long time. I will buy more from Thomann.
Using these on a guitar stand I made to hole 8 guitars. Never notice any strain on the wheels. They move quickly and smoothly. As a word of caution they can mark some wooden floors. The marks do wipe off with a bit of elbow grease but do look a bit unsightly. Problem solved by putting a layer of masking tape over the wheels
We are an AV company based in the UK and use these Millenium castors on all our cases, speakers and pieces of equipment. They are very hard wearing and can withstand the everyday road use that they come across. They are braked and we find the brakes very good additions to the units. Will most certainly purchase more in the future.
A bit bigger than what I expected, but these won't break like the former ones (thomann standard case). Now the case glides smoothly over all floors :-)
Really good quality for the price!
