I am a solo acoustic player. I bought this mainly to use at home for long rehearsal sessions but also at some venues where seating is at a premium and the owners/client don't like you taking away seats LOL. After reading the reviews and having good experience of Millennium products I decided on this chair/standing aid.
Arrived on time and well packaged, although there was a small hole through the outer box which penetrated the inner box but caused no damage, thankfully. This thing is heavy, solid and very well designed and built. I had it put up and in place in minutes.
It is rated to hold 120kgs (I am only a very dainty 105kgs) so I am ok and confident.....I think??? The back rest is well padded and flips back out of the way for folding away or if you don't want to use it. It is not height adjustable. If you do use it, you are prevented from raising the comfortable padded seat to its maximum height by 3 steps. This just happens to work out at a comfortable height for me (I am 6Ft tall). The seat flips up for folding away. The foot rest is height adjustable also. So almost anyone can find a comfortable setting for this. It folds away in seconds.
My only criticism is that of the back rest. It would be nice to have that adjustable by 3 to 4 steps. I have the seat currently raised to the maximum which leaves the back rest at the lowest end of your back. I am not sure how this will fair over long sessions.
This is a very sturdy product of quality and excellent value from Thomann, so thanks again guys. If like me your back starts to hurt after a while of standing and playing then this would be right up your street. It folds away compactly and can be slid under the bed or behind a wardrobe very easily. I would not hesitate to recommend.
