I was so hesitant to get "goovebox" without screen. But the whole UX of this device makes it so intuitive to work with its amazing. Once you manage your way with management software to import samples and synth presets and connect it thru midi with every other piece of gear that you have, you get hyper-cool command center.
Fun fact - projects can be switched by MIDI signal, so something like foot controller is a great addition.
I find it most fun to play on 4 sample tracks and trigger rounds from roland piano thru midi track and sequence crave thru other track.
Master Filter knob is so much fun too.
Ability to take it with you and play is kinda cool, but take notice that LED's in buttons are not hyper strong, so while its possible, its definitely not the most fun because you cannot really tell in what mode, on what track in what option are you.
I use it on very basic level, making few patterns, chaining them, and saving those chains under scenes, and chaining those scenes together into making somewhat bigger structures. Then I save those into (copies) of a project, that i can switch with foot controller on the fly while i play guitar, while also can just fiddle with groovebox with my hands when i have time.
