For something pretty simple, it's amazing how useful it can be on a slanted pedalboard. I've used a bunch of these for altering the alignment of certain pedals on both my main guitar pedalboard and on my vocal rig. They can be velcroed in place or drilled with supplied screws if you want something more permanent. The extra space underneath is also very handy for routing cables if you don't use a Pedaltrain style board (mine is an illuminated plexiglass one so it doesn't have the same slats as a Pedaltrain - but these Pedalboosters work just as well).
You get some velcro and screws/mounts included with the package which is pretty good value for money. Yes it's just a powdercoated piece of metal but it does make life easier for lining your pedals up and making them more accessible to your feet without hitting others accidentally.
I use it to hold the Boss LS-2 pedal on the top "shelve" of a pedaltrain. even though the pedaltrain novo 24 is angled, since i have some boss pedals on the bottom row, my foot will eventually hit them or scratch them on my way to the ls-2. with this add on, no more. Excellent addition!
This item is of very sturdy construction and comes complete with self tapping screws and plenty of velcro for attaching to your pedalboard. You have the option of placing it in two ways, if you choose to have the thicker end of the wedge at the front it will rase you FX pedal at the front by an inch or so. however, if you have a device on your board that has an awkward to read display and you need to tilt it towards you a little, then placing the thick end of the wedge at the rear will allow you to read the display more easily.
Almost every pedal board needs this kind of a pedal riser/booster especially if you have a pedal on the top row of your pedal-board which you use oftenly. It definitely helps not to step on other pedals. Sturdy construction and it fastens tightly with only some Velcro.
