Petz Wooden Mould Violin Rosin

The package and wooden holder looks great and is easy to keep in your hands. That is very nice. The Rosin itself though is terrible. Perhaps old stock? It is extremely hard and almost impossible to get any on the hairs of your bow. I have been trying this for over an hour and still there was not enough Rosin on the hairs of the bow. My violin teacher disliked it too for the same reason. Pity, it looks really cool, wished it was a better product.

OK, so maybe I wouldn't recommend it to the first violinist of our national philharmonic orchestra, but it's actually a quite decent rosin at a very reasonable price and in a really nice form/package.

No idea if this works well for strings, but it works quite well on my cheap bow from China that I use on my cymbals. Quite some unpacking (cloth, box) everytime I use it, so I might get rid of some of the material.
