I've used this specific type of cable from planet waves ever since i started playing bass 13 years ago. I love the circuit breaker option and the sound quality i get from it. The cable also has a longer than usual life before it starts failing considering how terrible i am at taking care of cables.
Having previously used PlanetWaves Custom cables. I was looking forward to the switched version. It certainly is very effective at cutting out those inadvertent pops and bangs when changing instruments, but the cable itself seems somewhat different to the Custom series I have. I don't know if the cable specification has been changed - the descriptions are the same on the website- but it does seem that the AG10 is slightly stiffer and does not readily lie straight when uncoiled. A few pulls through the hands seems to cure this. A useful cable for those regularly changing instruments.
... but the lead is really annoying as it doesn't coil well and gets loops and bends it it. The lead is also heavy and pulls down against the jack that goes into the guitar. It does sound fantastic and the on/off button is a genius idea, but I'm a bit worried about wear at the jack. I get so annoyed with the way the cable gets twists etc t sometimes don't bother to use it. I should mention that I sit when I play, and put the guitar on a stand to pick up percussion instruments/flute etc. If one just stood fit would probably work great.
