Feels great, sounds great, needs proper luthier set up

I have checked 5 of them (SE McCarty 594 single and double cut). All 5 sounded preety much the same - they are very consistent. And it is a great sounding guitar.
For me 1) the most important thing is that the guitar must stay in tune 2) wood must sound good unplugged 3) it must feel good and comfortable to play - this guitar does it all.
Yet all 5 guitars I checked needed fretwork done/corrected. So if You wish it to be a proper sounding guitar You will need to visit luthier with it to level, polish frets and to glue them to fretboard (yes). Something to keep in mind as it will cost You some extra $.
Also:
- Nut is high quality and it is cut as it should be
- Bridge quality is fine
- On some of those 5 I checked pickups were set up at weird angle to the strings
- Electronics are good enough for me.

As for Thomann - everything was more than perfect.

Die Gitarre ist ein Traum. Sie kam perfekt eingestellt an. Halsspannung, Saitenlage, Oktavreinheit war alles top. Sie war auch richtig gestimmt und sogar die Höhe der Tonabnehmer war für meinen Geschmack ideal. So eine perfekt eingestellte Gitarre hatte ich vom großen G und vom großen F bisher noch nicht. Auch an der Verarbeitung gibt es absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Die Farbe und die Decke sind traumhaft schön.
Das Wichtigste an einer Gitarre ist aber nun mal die Bespielbarkeit und der Klang. Die Bespielbarkeit ist wunderbar. Ich hatte beim ersten anspielen sofort ein Gefühl dass wir zueinander passen.
Die Pickups sind sehr gut. Habe zwar keinen Vergleich zu den in USA gefertigten PRS-Pickups, aber ich finde diese sehr gut. Für krassen Metal sind sie nicht so gut geeignet, da fehlt ein bissschen der Wumms. Aber dafür habe ich die Gitarre auch nicht gekauft. Dafür habe ich genug Andere im Waffenarsenal. Santana Sounds kann sie echt gut, auch ein gutes Rockbrett bis zum Hardrock ist gut machbar. Insgesamt ist sie ein guter Allrounder. Kann die Gitarre zu 100% empfehlen. Wer die Möglichkeit hat sollte sie auf jeden Fall mal vor Ort austesten.

Wirklich guter Gesamteindruck

Ich habe schon viele Gitarren gehabt aber dies ist meine erste PRS. Neben der Optik und der PU-Bestückung war ich vor allem auf die 635er Mensur gespannt. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Damit und ohne Jammerhaken hat sie ordentlich Punsch, klingt knackig mit gutem Sustain. Durch die splittbaren PU lassen sich dazu passend auch gute Single-Coil-Sound erzeugen.
In Sachen Bespielbarkeit gibt es nix zu meckern. Nicht ganz so geschmeidig wie eine Paula, aber doch sehr gut. Die Werkseinstellungen sind auch eine gute Basis, aber etwas Feintuning ist dann doch noch zu machen.
Es gibt aber auch zwei Dinge die ich nicht so gut finde. Zum einen sind es Messing Teile an der Brücke die etwas angelaufen sind, zum anderen sind es die Poti-Knöpfe die sich kantig und glatt anfühlen, was sich bei schnellen Umstellen manchmal als Nachteil erweist. Zudem würden verchromte Metallknöpfe besser zur Gesamt-Optik passen.
Insgesamt jedoch ist das eine tolle Gitarre für den ausgelobten Preis.

A la hauteur d'une PRS

Je recherchais une guitare avec une table différente que de l'érable flammé, et celle-ci est magnifique. Dans l'ensemble, la finition est soignée. Le son est chaleureux et devient agressif, mais maîtrisé, dès qu'on enclenche une petite distorsion. Peut-être un peu trop de basse! Le sustain n'est pas aussi bon que sur une LesPaul mais correct (la guitare est d'ailleurs bien plus légère qu'une LesPaul, on ne peut pas tout avoir). Avec la refonte des gammes PRS, notamment les S2 qui deviennent 100% américaines, les SE ne sont vraisemblablement pas en reste et gagnent en qualité. Bonne fabrication et guitare très agréable à utiliser...et un plaisir pour les yeux.
