I looked for a decent noise reducing system for my five piece Yahmaha 1978 stage custom kit. I was almost going to purchase an electronic kit for all the right reasons. But I decided that my heart lies with the accoustic kit. And the electronic kit really is a different instrrument in many ways from an accoustic kit. Not least the set up. So the RToms fitted the bill perfectly because its as close to a real skin as possible, though not entirely, of course.
Also it means that in terms of muscle memory it allows me to play my own kit live having practiced on it just like 'real'! I like electronic, I have no beef with them, but they are easier to lay than an accoustic set, hence the RToms.
Plus of course I can play them any time day or night in the cabin in the back garden. Which was the original reason I got them right? Enjoy if this is what you are looking for. They can be tightened or loosened for sound/bounce and fit easily over the heads. I bought these during lockdown and waited a long time to get them. I would say that the finish was not as high as expected, but they function perfectly so far. Hence the 4 star instead of 5 for quality.
Happy playing everyone!
