This is a very solid, well made and unique stereo mount. It is very versatile once you understand it, but it may not be obvious how to use at first, so read the instructions! It's heavy, because it's almost solid metal once assembled, so use quality stands that you can tighten fully. It can do stereo pairs in configs like X-Y, ORTF, DIN etc, but maybe not how you expect if you are used to conventional stereo bars; it's a column, not a bar, so the mics mount across it, and it is used vertically where other stereo bars would be horizontal. But, once you are used to it, it offers excellent stability and is quite versatile. It mounts from one end, not the middle like a stereo bar, and a swivel mount of some sort would be helpful. It's very neat looking, attractive, and stable, but requires a quality stand for its weight plus that of your mics and any shock mounts. Well suited to Shure A53M or A55M, or small suspension mounts.
I use mine all the time now and prefer it greatly to conventional stereo bars. Great for XY drum overheads on a single stand, which can give great results and a refreshing change from the standard spaced A-B on 2 stands, so it might just sound better too!
