Love the retro looks. So much more tasteful and becoming than the usual generic silver knobs that come on most Asian-made guitars.
A little on the expensive side but I prefer both the look and the feel of these to that of the slippery-and-cold-feeling original equipment knurled knobs.
Wider inside diameter and screw to tighten=better fit for solid shaft pots.
Ordered these to try out on my Nashville telecaster in my attempt to make it look a bit more retro. They work well with the black scratch plate I bought as well. Good price. Good quality. The screws definitely help with pots that have a straight shaft.....ha....straight shaft!!!!!!!
Every single one I purchased stripped the grub screw thread on first use... Based on these, I will NEVER purchase anything again from the TAD brand... they clearly take no care when sourcing components because a very simple test would have proved to them that these are Not Fit For Purpose. If I could have been bothered to return the useless trash, I would have done so, but they all ended up in the bin the day they arrived. You have been warned.
Every time I buy a new guitar I fit these knobs to it. I currently have two teles, a couple of archtops and a strat equipped with them. I like the grooved surface, perfect for rolling off/on with the pinkie, I've never got on with traditional speed knobs, and the thinner radius of these I much prefer. These particular ones have a grub screw to tighten against the pot shaft. They have the wider radius cavity so they fit the solid shafted pots better than the split shafts. I've used cheaper versions bought from an auction site but the quality of the Thomann ones greatly surpass the cheapos. Highly recommended.
I used one as replacement on my oldish Fender Cyber twin amp.Good push fit, and stays in place ok. The numbers around the knob dont line-up exactly; eg; off position is 2. Apart from that, its a good replacement, and a good match. I would buy another if needed.Very good price also.
