I'm satisfied with these. They protect my precious mouthpiece with out changing the shape or feel it. The texture is similar to mouthpiece hard rubber with just a little cushion. They seem to be holding up pretty well. I have about 10 hours on one and there is no sign of of wear or cutting through. These are very easy to apply and I stopped noticing it was even there after a few rehearsals. I pulled it off once and moved it and it still adheres well. My front teeth are uneven and these protect mouthpieces from developing a gouge where my longer tooth is.If you have a mouthpiece over $50 you need to pick some up. Note these are quite thick and can be bought thinner. I know there are a few people saying that its uncomfortable. This is true, but only if you are completely new to mouthpiece Cushions/Patches. Once you get used to them, they are a true money saver.
If your not convinced consider this: If you buy a $200 mouthpiece, and don't get mouthpiece patches, you are bound to get teeth marks. This is extremely frustrating as you would have to buy another $200 mouthpiece. You could avoid ALL of the hassle and just buy some mouthpiece patches.
