One of the most expensive rosin there is to by so expectations are high but unfulfilled. It sure is a good quality rosin and it produces a nice clear, silky and even sound but It has very poor bite. High quality rosin with better performance cost less than half the price of this.
Edit: I recently upgraded My student violin to a professional concert violin. In the same way, expensive strings usually not show it’s full potential on a lower end violin, the same seems to be the case for quality rosin. On this new violin (with Evah Pirazzi strings) I experience a more than subtle difference between the Cecilia rosin and my other cheaper rosins. Articulation, bow response, sound, everything seems to benefit from this rosin. So, I upgraded the overall score to 4 stars from 3.
