I was quite impressed with the vibrato mode on the ehx mod 11, with envelope and waveform possibilities. A heavy fun vibrato that instantly pulls you into a waterfall and makes you turn all around.
So I bought this one as a stand alone pedal.
The MOD 11 vibrato , although digital, is still a litlle bit more fun and captures dirt better. I must admit.
But Eddy is fun too. Here's why :
You get this typical analog sound, wich of course is less extreme. The waveform setting and envelopes make the difference for vibrato lovers. And the biggest reason to keep it for me is the expression input (not on MOD11). That's really nice. An analog vibrato with waveform, envelope and expression input for 99 euro ! I don't know any other. The chorus is nice, but is less important for me and I don't need to manipulate it. But it is a nice chorus als surplus. If you are interested in heavy vibrato and manipulating this sound, this is a good pedal. People who just want a vibrato as sometimes to use effect, this is maybe less interesting. If you just want a chorus, you take the Small Clone. I must say that the sawtooth waveforms start tot take over the lfo in the last quarters. For me this is less interesting, but I stay within the first quarters and it gets weird enough, but in a softer way.
