I use this case for carrying my basses between my school and band rehearsal at least two times a week, I've used it for about a year and it's been solid.
I'm really impressed with the build quality, compared to other gigbags I own, this is far superior. The edges are nicely protected with thick padding, all while not being too heavy. There are many compartments for putting tools, cables, or various other items in. The main pocket on the front is big enough for a small laptop and cables with room to spare. It has two carrying handles, one on the side and one on the back (this one is really nice to have). And straps for carrying on your back.
My only real complaint is that, when you carry it on your back, it becomes very tall. I find myself accidentally walking in to door frames almost every time I carry it around. I'm decently tall but not crazy tall. If the straps were placed 10-15cm higher up this wouldn't be a problem. Although I don't have any prior experiences with bass cases that have carrying straps, it might be a common issue.
All in all, I think the Gator Case Transit is a solid investment if you want to protect your bass from damage during transport.
Pros:
+ Solid build quality
+ Great protection
+ Smart compartments for accessories
Cons:
- Very tall when carried using straps (watch out for door frames)
