The Larry Carlton T7 has some really good features that are hard to beat at this price point. The locking tuners do their job perfectly. The bone nut is a welcome plus. The satin neck is a joy to use and the stainless steel frets are super welcome. The overall construction was decent given the price. The fret edges are really good, although the frets themselves are little scratchy while bending. Unfortunately, the nut was not properly cut, but I managed to get it fixed very quickly with the warranty.
Although the guitar looks very classic, the sound is not. I would say it is a modern take on a classic t-type guitar. The pickups are decent and like to push the amp a bit. They are punchy and warm although I find the neck pick up a little muddy.
Overall a really good guitar at a really good price point. Does it punch above its weight? Absolutely! Is it comparable to guitars around the 1.200 EUR? I am not sure about that. Although the features are top tier and a treat given the price point, the sound and the overall construction quality are "only" really good.
