quality instrument

Still new so not bedded in yet, once it's been through the tuning cycle a few times and has worn in a little, I'm sure the sound will be 5 stars.
It looks like a nice quality head.
They are certainly a big step up from my previous congas in terms of weight and solidity and they are even nicer-looking in real life, black finish with a brown grain, really looks quite stunning.
Gold hardware would have finished it off nicely but maybe that would have added to the price and anyway, they have to give you a reason to upgrade to the next model up!
Closer in quality to high-end instrument rather than a budget instrument, feels like a big step from my previous instrument.
Even if you buy a nice expensive head for it, the overall cost is still very reasonable in comparison
