Not great strings, or great sound, but at less than a tenner for a set, what would you expect.

As a fiddle player in a rock band, I get through a lot of strings, and these sound and play fine on my electric fiddle. Durability seems to be very good - I bought several sets and I'm still on the first packet (no breakages).

Playing-in was quick and painless - they settled down and stayed in tune after a couple of hours playing.

As either a cheap spare set, or for an electric fiddle, these are worth considering, but don't expect them to sound like strings that cost many times the price.

For good sound on an acoustic violin, you will probably need to spend a bit more.
