Great classic

Often overlooked nowadays but it's fabulous on a good quality snare drum.
Super-sturdy with a great feel and it naturally adds a little dampening that you would normally end up adding yourself anyway.
Totally in love with mine so, go ahead - it's a classic for a reason, you know?

I thougth this would be a great jazz snare head, but I'm kind of dissapointed. Otherwise it's good, but I couldn't get a decent brush sound, it was way too quiet.

Sehr dynamisch und musikalisch

Für meine Stahlsnare wollte ich mal etwas komplett neues ausprobieren. Ich hatte sehr lange ein relativ dickes vented dry Fell auf der Schlagseite, deswegen die Entscheidung für dieses einlagige Fell in calfskin Optik in Ambassador-Stärke.

Die Haptik finde ich sehr ansprechend. Die Struktur ist nicht nur "aufgemalt" sondern sind tatsächliche "Fell"-Strukturen im Trommelfell - ähnlich der alten Kalbsfelle aus der Frühzeit des Trommelbaus.

Es dauert etwas bis man alle Falten aus dem Fell gestimmt hat, dabei ist eine sehr sorgsame, gleichmäßige Spannung zu beachten. Anfänger könnten sich damit eventuell schwer tun.
Das Fell verlangt nach einer relativ starken Spannung um zu klingen, für sehr tiefe Stimmungen ist es eher nichts.

Klanglich finde ich das Fell sehr dynamisch und rund klingend - mir gefällt es um Welten besser als "normale" weiß gecoatete einlagige Felle, die sind für meinen Geschmack und meine Spielweise zu harsch in den Höhen. Die strukturierte Bauweise tut hier wohl ihren Dienst, das Ergebnis ist ein sehr musikalischer, dynamischer Klang der sehr akzentuiertes Spiel erlaubt. Das Fell reagiert sensibel auf Dämpfung - mit der Spitze eines Stofftuches erreicht man bereits viel in Richtung Fokussierung und Fatness, mit moongel würgt man das Fell allerdings schnell ab.

Alles in allem bekommt man hier viel (Ober-)Ton geboten, eine tolle Haptik und Optik und ein sehr musikalisches Fell. Die Tuningrange im oberen Spektrum ist mir etwas zu begrenzt und für heavy hitter ist es nichts, ansonsten ein Topp Fell!

Sin duda REMO no deja de sorprendernos. Con este parche de piel logra, sin duda alguna, eliminar todos i cada uno de los armónicos, sin necesidad de pegar un pañuelo o algo que haga de apagador, como hacia yo.
Este parche, además, es muy polivalente, ya que se puede utilizar en una caja, en cualquiera de los toms o incluso en un tambor. Gracias a su capa de piel sintética desaparecen todos los armónicos posibles. Por otro lado, gracias a su capa fina de plástico, hace de este parche un parche muy duradero y resistente. La combinación de estos dos materiales es, en definitiva, la creación de el mejor parche que REMO haya creado jamás.
Muy resistente a cualquier golpe, a cualquier fuerza de tensado y a cualquier tipo de baqueta. Aunque no recomiendo mojarlo o someterlo a una humedad elevada ya que se destensaria con facilidad.
