Never ever touched a Hurdy Gurdy but im in love ever since I heard the first Hurdy Gurdy play. I orderd this Scala Vilagio Gothic Hurdy Gurdy and I'm amazed. it's a simple instrument with only 3 strings but im not put down. the sound is beautiful and the craftsmanship looks great. The only thing is that it is a bit expensive and the rumor goes that the maker sell these for around 900 euro. but im not sure if this is true. anyhow, im a happy buyer!

Alright For Beginners With Lots Of Interest & A Decent Teacher

As someone who knows a little bit about the information and seen some more expensive ones, this is an alright purchase for a beginner with little mone. The Instrument is difficult to pick up for a beginner without a teacher, this is something I learned quickly.

Now as for this particular Hurdy Gurdy, it is small and light, and plays alright. The cotton and dust it comes with is alright, but applying it can be a pain. The strings themselves are a bit low quality, it may be a good idea to switch them after playing for a few weeks to some better quality ones. The tuners are the worst though, since they can get loose very bad.

Positives
+ Cheap compared to other Hurdy Gurdies
+ Plays nicely after a bit of practice and a few minor changes
+ The handle is quite comftorable to me

Negatives
- The strings are very poor quality
- Tuners are very loose
- Feels fragile, and finding a case for it may be hard.
- Without a decent teacher, this is a bad purchase for a beginner, and poor quality for someone already familiar with the instrument.

Overall, it's ok for a beginner, if you have a teacher.

Da wo es drauf ankommt wurde es handwerklich solide und sauber hergestellt. Jede Tangente kann einzeln nachjustiert werden, so dass eine gute Intonation kein Problem ist. Die Bordunsaiten lassen sich auch gut stimmen. ein Feinstimmer sogar an der Hauptsaite. Der Klang ist annehmbar und nicht zu laut,(relativ kleiner Resonanzkasten. Die Tangentenschieber laufen sehr gut und fallen durch die Schwerkraft leicht zurück, so wie sein sollte. Das Rad ist perfekt rund und drehbar. Auch optisch sehr annehmbar durch das gut gebeizte und polierte Holz. Lediglich manche Bohrungen könnten besser nachgeschliffen sein und der Preis ist m.E. zu hoch, läßt sich aber, nehme ich an, wegen der vielen Handarbeit nicht anders gestalten.

ik, ben een zeer tevreden klant.
het afstellen duurt nogal lang, maar dat wist ik.
toen ik hem ophaalde, bij het UPS aflever punt. ging hij onderweg nog wel eenmaal over de wereld, doch dankzij de indrukwekkende hoeveelheid isolatie materiaal bleef het instrument heel.

mijn hartelijke dank voor de goede afwerking.
