I'm using this to drive hifi speakers at home.
CONS: this unit was clearly conceived to be used in PA applications. It fits in 2 rack units, has separate volume controls for the two channels and no other controls on the front panel. It has a vent which is relatively quiet for its intended purpose, but extremely noisy for home or studio applications.
PROS: while lacking in controls, the unit has many configurable options on its back panel, including input sensitivity, a ground/lift switch, an automatic standby option and very good connectivity. The vent can also be easily disconnected with almost no risk, for low power usage (ie driving small hifi or studio speakers.
I'm using this to drive two Mission LX-2 monitors. I wouldn't recommend it for serious studio applications, but it does serve its purpose extremely well for its price and while I'd rather use a more high-end amp I can definitely see myself mixing on this configurations no less than I do on monitors in a mush higher price range (Yamaha HS series, Adam F series and so on).
Plus, the unity looks rather well built to me.
