PROS: 25 metres is a great length for DIY projects and home maintenance work. The metal frame tube diameter is bigger than the one I got from Lidl. Product finish is very good, and functions as advertised. The cable is nice and thick, and the cable material is just about right: not too stiff, easy to wipe clean and looks very durable.
SO-SO: The product is held together using 3-point star screws. Not a big problem for me because I already have one of these screw drivers, but I manufacturers need to stop making products that prevent servicing, maintenance and repair. The handle could fit a little more snugly, as it can be made to rotate around the metal tube with relative ease.
CONS: The plastic flanges are on the thin side. As I turn the crank to wind the cable, the plastic flexes. Hopefully it won't break, but I'll be careful just to be safe. The crank knob is a little stiff, but hopefully it will loosen with use. As other customers have noted, the drum diameter falls short for the amount of cable it's supposed to hold. That said, the cable does fit if coiled carefully, but it would be an improvement from the user's point of view to have a bigger diameter drum so as to enable users to wind the cable casually without having to worry that it won't fit.
I'm pleased with the product but I'm going to give it 3 stars total rating because I think using weird screws is not cool in 2023.
