Pearl DR-80 Drum Rack

I have always wanted a drum rack, and I said I'd start out at the lower end of Pearls hardware line, just to try it out for the first time.
The quality and sturdiness of this rack are amazing. I hung 3 toms, and 8 cymbals off this thing, and it held like a pro! No slippage, and was so easy to assemble and disassemble I even let my 3 year old niece help me with it, and she took it apart herself with ease.
Amazing build quality, for an amazing price.
I for one will not move up from this model, if anything I might get a couple of extensions and expand the hell out of it!

A must for any drummer considering getting a drum rack!

I bought this drum rack to free up floor space in my band's small practice space, we are a two-man band so I use quite a lot of cymbals. It's the first drum rack I've ever owned, so I wanted to get something that was not too expensive, but still had quality. I have positive experiences with Pearl hardware and I wanted a rack with square tubes. This rack is a great option for anyone who is just getting into having a drum rack, it's easy to assemble and folds up quite compactly for transport to gigs. The only negative that I can point out is that the black paint may be prone to chipping off when frequently sliding clamps along the square pipes. Obviously, this does not affect playability.

Als Fan großer Aufbauten kam mein Schlagzeug irgendwann an einen Punkt, an dem wohl jeder konsequente Dazu-Käufer irgendwann steht: Die Ständer stehen sich untereinander im Weg.

Was tun? Entweder abbauen oder aber ein Rack muss her.

Racks - mit Klammern, Armen, Adaptern usw usf. - waren für mich immer etwas teuer. Nach einiger Suche traf ich jedoch auf dieses Modell, was schon einige Jahre unverändert von Pearl gebaut wird und dessen Klammern (Pearl PC-8) auf 7/8"-Rohre ausgelegt sind. Aufgrund eines günstigen Preises habe ich aus ausprobiert, und siehe da: Es funktioniert.

Zugegeben: Am Anfang tut man sich etwas schwer mit der fehlenden Höhenverstellbarkeit dieses günstigen Modells, aber irgendwo muss ja auch der Unterschied zu den "Profi-Racks" sein. Nach etwas herumprobieren und tüfteln war mein Setup wieder wie vorher aufgebaut, nur konnte ich jetzt auch schneller auf- und abbauen, da die Klammern zum transportieren nicht entfernt werden müssen.

Beim Spielen selbst steht das Rack selbst bei schwingenden Becken jenseits der 20" auch stabil und wackelt nicht.

Die Pulverbeschichtung ist etwas anfällig für Kratzer, sonst ist das Rack jedoch außerordentlich gut verarbeitet.

Alles in allem bietet sich in diesem Rack eine gute, vergleichbar kostengüstige Einstiegsmöglichkeit in den Bereich der Racks.

Todella todella hyvä räkki! Ehkä paras rumpuräkki mitä löytyy! :o Jos olet vaihtamassa räkkiä tai etsimässä uutta räkkiä rummuille niin suosittelen korkeasti ottamaan tämän! ;) Tämä räkki pysyy paikallaan ja on todella kätevä kasata ja purkaa ja ottaa mukaan keikalle. Eikä välttämättä edes tarvitse roudausceissiä! :o

Niille jotka ei tiedä entuudestaan niin kannattaa tosiaan hommata tällainen kulmikas räkki koska silloin pellit ja tomit tulevat satavarmasti pysymään paikallaan kun taas jos on pyörä putkiräkki niin oli sitten kuinka kireällä tahansa ni kumminkin voi pettää ja lähteä liukumaan alaspäin.
