Trigger capos are no good, IMO. This one is not any better. It pulls the strings sideways, a capital offense for a capo. Go for the non-trigger NS capo (metal version). That's the best.
Whist my friend thinks all capos are exactly the same, this proves they're not.
I bought the older model of this a few years back as my first capo after reading fantastic reviews about it and loved it. Somebody pinched it off a table at an open mic night I played at and I thought i'd just buy a cheap capo. I've spent the next 5 months having to retune the guitar every time I put a capo on because it bent and detuned the strings.
The planet waves tri action capo showed up last week and I've not had to slightly change the tuning when applying the capo. Offers an adjustable but even tension across the fretboard and after some adjusting, managed to completely cut out string buzz when it was applied. I also feel that when my cheap capo deadened a lot of the strings when it was on, whereas this doesn't affect the tone of my guitar at all.
Tried them all but still had tuning issues until I tried out this guy, hands down the best capo on the market, easy to put on the guitar & my tuning stays perfect et. 5 out of 5 stars
Awesome adjustable and sturdy capo , wish it could be used with western 12 strings but unfortunately look elsewhere if that's the case.
Major flaw in my experience : paint comes comes off easily . Probably that's because of a more acidic sweat than average.
Highly recommended nontheless.
I have bought like 3 already. I like capos that give a clean look to the front, that's why I prefer this model. A place to put a pick is always welcome although on one of them, that part broke. Only one, which I've had for many years. The others are still fine. It keeps the tuning quite stable once you adjust it to the guitar.
Overall:
Just a really solid and a good capo. You can adjust the tension on the capo and suits every neck. Feels very sturdy and the product is made with quality materials.
Extras:
Also has a little slot to hold your extra pick, but be careful as if you have a thicker pick it will unfortunatly break.
