Very useful
Howard R. 20.05.2013
I did a fair bit of research before buying this particular trolley. There are others out there, but I needed something to take my backline and PA in one go. This does not disappoint. I calculated how much space my gear would occupy when 'stacked' and decided that the R6 would take the lot (other sizes are available). It's taken me some time to get the most from it - I've had to get some ramps made from aluminium tread-plate at a local metal works, but now I'm good to go anywhere. As I can often park quite close to the venue, I find that it doesn't suit every gig, as unfolding and loading the trolley can sometimes take longer than simply loading-in manually. However, it's been an absolute 'must have' in certain circumstances - especially at a couple of recent gigs where the venue was on the first floor. Once loaded, I could simply roll into the service elevator and roll straight out into the venue - no hassle. The trolley itself seems sturdy enough and, whilst it exhibits a certain amount of 'flex' when loaded, it certainly seems strong enough. The wheels are good, but I would recommend going easy on the front ones over bumpy surfaces. It has a useful spring-loaded 'button' which engages into a hole when the trolley is fully extended. This helps prevent you from over-extending which would over-stress the trolley. I wish it also had some additional incremental holes, as I sometimes don't need it to be 'full length', but that's just a 'nice-to-have'. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and certainly couldnt find anything this useful at anywhere near the same price. For reference, it takes 2 x10" active PA speakers + mixer (bagged), small bass combo, stool, speaker stands, bass guitar and a large case full of leads.

Sweet Little RocknRoller!
Anonimowy 05.12.2015
As an able-bodied (please don't judge my terminology; you know what I mean!) guitarist vocalist, I am already built to carry a sizeable bit of kit (be-it a guitar or a case etc) in each hand as standard. Add a back-pack (again, guitar, computer case etc) and that's three sizeable bits of gear I can carry a reasonable distance in one go. If I need any more then it's multi-trips to the car which not only takes time but compromises the security of the equipment left at either end. Choose the right size RocknRoller and you can get all your kit into the venue in one go and minimise the risk of gear going 'missing'! Oh, and of course, minimise the chances of back strain.
To cover all bases, I would have like the R12T. But listing the kit required for my various work scenario's (and physically stacking it in piles!) I figured that the R6 would be just right... and it was! I also considered the folded size (the R6 fits into a standard large-sized suitcase for international travel/ gigging) and weight (bigger trolley = more weight = more baggage costs!). If neither of these factors are a consideration then I would advise going as big as you can afford.
I use it both in 'handtruck' and standard modes depending on what needs to be shifted. Sure, bigger wheels would have been handy in some situations but again, it's back to that weight/ size thing. At least I am glad that I got into RocknRoller after they introduced the solid tyres (the pneumatics sound like a real deal-breaker). I use a handful of Halfords-style luggage bungees to keep everything in place.
I have to say that I have not any problems with assembly/ build quality but then again, my kit goes in the back on my car and not a van. Further to this, it is only ever handled by me and not over-enthusiastic roadies/ groupies! Every cloud...
For reasons of comparison, my biggest load on this cart consists of 2No. HK Audio 210 subs, 2No. HK 08 tops, 4u amp/ processor rack, mixer/ cable case, pedal board & stands bag. I know it sounds sad but my RocknRoller has literally changed my gigging-life! The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that I have seen big, juicy. extra-long, extra-thick RocknRoller brand bungees on some American sites but I can't see these as stock Thomann items; is there any reason for this?

If you carry a lot of gear, just buy this cart!!
Dub77 09.11.2019
This cart is a lifesaver and “back” saver... it is built from strong steel and collapses and opens out into many different configurations. By extending it out, it can carry a heck of a lot of gear, so really helps while packing & unpacking the van for a gig. Honestly its money well spent and I couldn’t be without it now.

Pros.. very strong, very sturdy, carries huge weight, extremely easy to build (you just attach the wheels, nothing complicated)

Cons.. cant think of any.

Great stability of ride even if not perfect for stairs.
InNiceNow 18.11.2021
Happy with this cart and have moved equipment all over town via foot and trolley. Nice smooth ride. The only problem I've had is going down stairs because the curved underbar is a bit shorter than it could be and so not as easy on steps as it might have been.
