I bought TimeLine ten years ago. I used it with different instruments: double bass, bass guitar, acoustic objects (sound-design), upright piano and synths. Sounds very good; sits in mix with no issues, inspires and opens new ways of thinking during playing and composing. Useful tool.
Sound quality and stereo image is fantastic. Midi implementation is ok, one can use it with looper, sequencer and other gear demanding clock synchronization.
Really, I cannot find any reasonable alternative - there are many delays with stereo, different dual modes and true stereo, but TimeLine is still the best for me. Although learning curve is not the easiest, but with some patience one can include Strymon into the workflow and use it without technical overthinking.
I sold it a year ago and I am about to buy it again.
Highly recommended.
