PRO; Just long enough, and that little bit more when needed. Small plug fits perfectly on all 7 different models on my board. The wire is well shielded and will take what it needs.
Nice price
Con; can't find any
The cable is surprisingly supple and the plugs are well-moulded. However, the male barrel plugs will only fit 5.5mm sockets with 2.1mm center pins. Sockets with the equally common 2.5mm pins do not mate, unfortunately.
Frustratingly, Thomann does not specify this (or any plug compatibility for that matter) on the product page. This cable is therefore not useful for the devices I want to connect.
The female end will happily accept both types of male plug, though.
I've used them to daisy-chain TC Helicon voicetone singles.
A great solution instead of the €40+ kit from TC Helicon.
It has (-) polarity inside, and (+) polarity on the ring (outside).
If you are using it for similar applications, I recommend coupling it with the the sssnake SK233-0,3 XLR Patch. It is rather difficult to find small XLR patch cables, but this one does the trick beautifully.
This is the solution for when you have only a few pedals and don't want a full fledged power supply for your pedals. However, it comes at a great cost, noise, which is a byproduct of multiple electrical devices being dependent on a single source. Not everyone, but many will experience noise if you go the daisy-chain route, beware!
Bought some of these for my pedalboard, used to have the straight jacks and had issues with my MXR pedals , pedals with side power input and certain crammed spaces in my pedalboards.
These cables fixed all of those issues and now I can easily power all my pedals straight from my Iso power supply, change pedals faster and be more flexible about the route the cable follows through pedals or even under them.
Ideal for daisy chain powering a few pedals. Lengths are about right for most scenarios and it's cheap enough to easily replace should the need arise. Having said that, It just stays in place on a pedalboard, it seems well built for a moulded cable and hasn't given me any trouble.
I have tried using this cable with two pedals, and it seemed to work fine. The plugs are snug into the pedal and the power supply, and power was transmitted as expected.
Your mileage may vary depending on your pedals and how they interact, but that is to be expected from daisy-chaining pedals.
