Vandoren V16 Tenor Sax T6

This is a great buy. It has the closest tip opening in the V16 range, but is still quite open in comparison to many common tenor sax mouthpieces. It's free-blowing and works best for me with soft-ish reeds. I use Vandoren V16 strength 2 or 2.5. The tone is fantastically warm - ideal for Big Band and Trad Jazz Combo work. For me the weakest point (in a very strong product) is making the lowest notes speak at low volume - a common problem! Manufacturing quality is excellent, as you would expect from Vandoren. The affordable price and great looks are useful bonuses.

Round sound and suitable for any kind of music.
