This box does twice as much as its competitors for around a third of the price. I am a pro mix engineer and this box allows me to process anything through guitar and bass amps like they are outboard, but without the horrible high-end and dynamic loss that occurs when interfaced from a line out. Really well built and pretty transparent you can even do stereo amping from a single DI'd guitar for that giant post-rock sound. Thsi box even allows re-amping through preamps for a bit of analogue crunch whilst maintaining original tonality. Could be my best accessory purchase in years, nice.

You can spend a small fortune buying re-amping boxes and, in an environment where a single microphone or preamp may cost thousands of pounds, it would be appropriate to also spend a good sum on a re-amping tool. However, if you are a cash strapped amateur musician or project studio owner this little box will do a quality job for a small amount of money.
I set this up with the Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 and it worked beautifully both as a tool to pass stereo tracks back through the emulated preamps and also to send my late night recorded guitar tracks through my amps when daylight allowed a little more noise to be made. It's a chunky little fella with a good weight to it and feels like it will last. All knobs and switches also feel like quality items that won't let you down.
A great bit of kit that does its job well at a bargain price!

I've reamped before with ordinary DI-boxes opposite combined with preamps and building some jigs to fit the occasion - every effect pedal and amp has it's own vagaries. For example using non-true bypass FX-pedal after turned around passive DI (tricky cabling) and then feeding it into actually desired effect pedal and/or amp.
ART Dual RDB is very obvious on how to use, it is stereo! Or dual. You can adjust the level on the device, very handy feature. No power source, it is passive. Minimum wiring is needed. Personally I do not really believe the story behind ultra-expensive reamping devices. If you are reamping for full band mix, it really makes no audible difference. The only idea behind it is to match the impedances of instrument amplifier's input and line-signal's output.
I have few other ART DI boxes and they have not failed me. The construction is simple, what's there to fail?

I usually like Art products. and in fact the built quality and features of this reamp-box are great as I would expect. the problem here, at least in my case, is the sound.
the output level is way too low, even cranking up the volume on my soundcard output and setting the level to the max on the box, the signal is still not hot enough to simulate the level of a guitar. the result is the drive on the amp never gets to a proper level, leaving the sound quite dull.
I bought instead a Palmer reamp box and, lo and behold, it sounds just like the output from a guitar.
I don't discard the possibility that I got a faulty product, in which case disregard my review. Otherwise, I just wouldn't recommend this product even thou I still recommend the brand.
