Good performance, poor longevity

I was very happy with the sound that this ligature enabled but unfortunately, after 2 years, the tension screw has worn to the extent that the ligature is now useless. the thread in the middle part of the screw has worn, lost its plating and become thin. The ferrule on the ligature through which the screw is fitted also shows signs of wear. I will not replace this and will use another brand

Very nice ligature!

The BG LD 1 Ligature is a one-of-a-kind ligature that fits both clarinet and alto saxophone mouthpieces. Provides focused tone and stable intonation in all registers. Has reduced reed resistance when playing. I have been using it for several years now and am very pleased. This is one of the best ligatures.
