Amazing piece of gear that would benefit from a better build quality
Ashesborn 21.09.2022
Works great – the sound quality is impeccable, and the fact that the unit can function as an audio interface while also applying live FX to vocals and synths allows me to cut out some of the extra devices I'd need in my chain otherwise. I've yet to get a full grasp on all of its looping and mixing capabilities, though, because there are just so many features, but thus far, I am astounded by how much I can do on the fly. It immediately puts you in the mood to improvise and experiment.
The build quality could be better, though. The body feels too light and plastic, almost like a toy. One accidental drop, and this expensive piece of gear is likely to end up in... well... pieces.

My Headrush Looperboard was extremely annoying to use and unfriendly (subjective opinion of course) so I decided to try this one after selling the Looperboard.
What a fantastic decision. The layout of this thing is incredibly intuitive - I just started pressing stuff without RTFM and I was looping and actually enjoying what I was doing, in like 10 minutes.
Allegedly for experienced MK1 users, the MK2 has many downsides but I never used MK1 so to me its a great product out of the box. Updating firmware worked fine on a Mac Mini.

I've been using the Boss RC-505 MKII for a couple of weeks now, and I’m really impressed. The sound quality is excellent, and it captures my playing beautifully. The five tracks are perfect for layering, and I love how easy it is to switch between them.
The interface is pretty intuitive, so I didn’t have too much trouble figuring things out right away. The built-in effects add a nice touch without being overwhelming.
It feels sturdy and well-made, which is great since I plan to take it to gigs. Overall, I’m really enjoying it so far—definitely a solid looper for anyone into live performance!
