The D'Addario EXL110W Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings (Regular Light Gauge) have the same high quality standard as the popular EXL110 D'Addario strings! The main difference between these strings is that the G string of the EXL110W strings is also nickel wound! I use these strings mainly on guitars where I have problems with the tuning of the 3rd string (maybe you know the problem!), because it seems to me that with a nickel wound G string the tuning is much better (no more problems with detuning!). So, if you have the same problem, you should maybe test these strings! It's worth the try!

After playing exclusively playing the EXL115W on my 6-string I've decided to give these ones a go on my new 26.5 scale 7-string in combination with a NW064 for B standard and drop A tunings. They sound and feel great.
I have been using these on my Epiphone ES-339 to round out the sound even more when playing on higher strings solo, and give an even nice warm, and round sound to the chords when strumming or fingerpicking.
I play them as hybrid finger style, so the sound tends to come out even more rounder out of my setup.
Classic Daddario quality! would reccommend for anyone trying to use them for rhythm, warming up the higher strings, or in general if you prefer wounded G string.

Wound G-string helps my Les Paul stay in tune. I used this set for years and then I stopped. Now I'm back on it again. Although the wound third string makes bending a little difficult, it helps a lot in staying in tune especially on a Gibson.
