Steffen sure gave me the right recommendation for a funk mouthpiece to use on my Rampone & Cazzani tenor. The Guardala MBII GP*8 is nice and loud, raspy and gives me the sound I was seeking. I'm closer now to that Michael Brecker sound and can't wait to use the mouthpiece with my "funk machine" and "auto wah" pedals. Thanks Steffen and Thomann!
Das MB II ist sehr hell im Klang und im Vergleich zu meinen anderen Mundstücken sehr laut. Es ist dadurch sehr durchsetzungsfähig. Je nach Blatt kann es ev auch zu schrill klingen, aber für Rock bzw Pop Songs ist es meiner Meinung nach sehr gut geeignet. Für jazzige Sachen klingt es jedoch für meinen Geschmack fast etwas zu knallig mit den meisten Blättern. Beim ersten Anspielen war ich total begeistert weil es sich von meinen anderen Mundstücken total abhebt, aber nach ein paar Songs musste ich mir leider eingestehen das es für mich nicht ganz einfach zu spielen ist (ich spiele seit ca 1,5 Jahren Saxophon und Tenor erst seit 2 Monaten). Ich glaube etwas geübtere Saxophonisten könnten wirklich einen guten Ton aus dem Mundstück herausholen.

Per dare più spinta, ho deciso di prendere un bocchino in metallo, e questo era quello che più si avvicinava alle mie esigenze.
E' davvero un ottimo bocchino.
L'unico svantaggio è che non è possibile scegliere l'apertura, viene fatto solamente con l'apertura predefinita (secondo me si aggira attorno all' 8*(stella) ).
Dato che ero abituato a una apertura inferiore, ho dovuto prendere un'ancia molto più morbida per riuscire a sostenere le note gravi... perdendo tuttavia un po' di volume sulle note acute.
Sarebbe stato il mio bocchino ideale se solo fosse stato leggermente più chiuso... che so... attorno al 7 o 7*...
Una cosa che mi è piaciuta molto è che, rispetto a tanti altri bocchini, questo ha un prolungamento maggiore.
Nel mio sax, con i bocchini precedenti (soprattutto il Contemporary), dovevo sempre posizionare il bocchino molto in punta al chiare per essere intonato... con questo, non c'è più questo problema!!
