If you play bass, you're probably familiar with the endless search for the perfect set of strings to fit your playing best. My personal requirements to the strings are:
Direct response & clear Sound with a nice low end
Consistency of tone inbetween strings
Nice Fingerstyle and Slaptone
The price obviously always plays a certain role
I use them on a Musicman Stingray with a 2-bd EQ, and the first 3 points are completely fulfilled. The Strings are rather tight tuned to E-Standard, but absolutely playable (I'd rather take the 100 or 105 Set for E), the perfect tuning is probably D-Standard. I've played them in a C-Standard Tuning, they do still sound good, but if you're going to play in a Metal Band, you'll need a little bit more definition with those low C's (I'll try the 5 String 120 Set for this purpose).
As far as the durability is concerned, they do sound very good for a month, they sound good (like playing live good, not studio environment good) for at least another 1-2 months.
To conclude, if you can afford these Strings, they're definitely worth their money. I just give them 4 stars because of the high price.
