This is a longer version of Dunlop 212, too long to be used at it is but great for those who want to perfectly adapt it to a specific length, which I did by cleanly cutting it at 6 cm with a diamond wire hand saw blade.
I have two main slides, the Ariel Posen brass slide and the Dunlop 212, both perfect fits for me.
The adapted Dunlop 211 is for those rare occasions when I need a slide that covers all six strings of my resonator.
The sound of glass is smooth and beautiful while the sound of brass is also smooth but with an extra "bite" that I love.
This is the longer version of the 212, perfect thickness but a bit too long for me (I wear the slide on my little finger). I prefer the 212 as I rarely play all 6 strings, but if you have longer fingers this will work great! Good quality and tone.
Dunlop 211 slide works well with both electric and acoustic guitars. It feels comfortable and produces a pleasant tone. It's a good basic slide that's suitable also for players with quite small fingers such as myself.
Since it's made of glass and has quite a thick "wall", it's larger in diameter than a steel slide of similar inner dimensions. Because of this it feels slightly different to play with but in my opinion it's really comfortable nonetheless.
Since the slide is so inexpensive, it's a great get for any guitar player who wants to experiment with different kind of tones and playing styles, even if the genre you usually play doesn't generally utilize the slide. It's quite rewarding, and makes you navigate the fretboard in a different way than what you may be used to.
