After searching for a long time for a robust and solid mic holder for my kits, I finally found the answer.
Very adaptable, and will fit both my DW and Tama tom holders ( and other brands). The trick is to leave plenty of space above where you clamp your toms onto the tom holders.
Set up takes some effort, especially on small toms like an 8", but once you're happy with it's placement, it's so easy to get to sit the same way each time you set up.
The quick grip clamp can also be used to mount a cymbal arm from a floor tom leg, or from another cymbal arm.
I will be doing both mic and cymbal mounting with these.
I highly recommend them, and I'll be buying more.

Cons: Not really a con, but a little slow to take on and off with a drum tuning key, but it's necessary as a wing nut would be too intrusive.
