Convenient "24 frets" (signs) neck.
The main disadvantage for me is its high weight (about 5Kg).
If possible, try to choose your specific guitar, since the natural wood grain looks different on each guitar.
The recent models are with Jatoba Fingerboard (and not rosewood) and without the ESP model inlay on the neck.
It has an active preamp/tone (bass/mid/treble) circuit with passive pickups.
I did the following modifications to match my needs:
* Strings - I changed to Flatwound (D'Addario ECB80 or ECB84 Chromes).
* Electronics - I changed both PU's to two passive SD (NYC model) and push/pull active/passive switch on the volume pot, as well as 3 position switch (instead of the treble knob location) to choose between single/parallel/serial for the two SD PU.
I kept the treble knob in its center position in the electronic compartment (it is large enough).
I am very happy with this setup.

For a fretless bass, this was almost perfectly set up straight out of the box, producing the signature "mwah" and "roar" one would expect from a fretless bass costing much more.

Well it's definitetly not the best fretless bass out there but for a hard rock player like i am it's all you need. Smooth nice sound and for the job that I want it (sitting in the case and using it twice a month) is definitetly good. I would reccomend to players that are not using it as their main bass. certainly best value for money.

Aber, dank Thomann in der Nähe, ich konnte alle möglichen antesten.
Letztlich bin ich dann beim ESP LTD gelandet.
Zuerst war es sicher die Optik, die mich in seinen Bann zog.
So sehen Edelbässe aus.
Aber auch seine Bespielbarkeit für Leute wie mich, die recht kleine Hände haben, war Klasse.
Alles in allem:
Super Klang,
super Optik
und das für kleines Geld.
Er ist von Haus aus schon sehr gut verarbeitet und nachdem ihn mein Basslehrer dann noch perfekt eingestellt hat, ist es ein Bass, den ich nicht wieder hergeben werde.
Da mein frettless-Bass spielen immer ein Seitenzweig sein wird bin ich voll und ganz zufrieden.
Und sein wir mal ehrlich: So richtig Jaco werden doch die Wenigsten von uns.

Die Rotosound Black Nylon Saiten haben sich gelohnt. Damit ist der Bass nah dran am Sound eines Kontrabasses.

Powinien to być bas bezprogowy, najlepiej bas Jaco firmy Fender. Ale jest zbyt drogi dla początkującego basisty. :) Ale dzięki pobliskiemu Thomannowi mogłem przetestować różne rzeczy. Ostatecznie trafiłem do ESP LTD. Na początku zdecydowanie urzekł mnie ten wygląd. Tak wyglądają szlachetne basy. Ale grywalność dla ludzi takich jak ja, którzy mają dość małe dłonie, była również świetna. Podsumowując: świetny dźwięk, świetny wygląd, a wszystko za niewielkie pieniądze. Jest już bardzo dobrze wykonany i po tym jak mój nauczyciel gry na basie go idealnie wyregulował, jest to bas, z którego nie zrezygnuję ponownie. Ponieważ moja bezprogowa gra na basie zawsze będzie odgałęzieniem, jestem w pełni usatysfakcjonowany. I bądźmy szczerzy: bardzo niewielu z nas staje się prawdziwym Jaco. :) I jeszcze jedno: struny Rotosound Black Nylon były tego warte. Oznacza to, że bas jest bliski brzmieniu kontrabasu.
